The Union City Area High School Girls Varsity Club is a service oriented Club dedicated to promoting positive attitudes in athletics, academics and the school community. The members of the Girls Varsity Club try to promote School Spirit at Union City Middle/High School. They are the sponsors of Spirit Week during Homecoming Week. Spirit Week is a week dedicated to recognizing how proud we are to be at Union City High School. We have a Clash of the Classes Contest and a Decorate the Door Contest, all with the theme of School Spirit and pride in mind. We also Sponsor the High School Pep Assembly on Friday afternoon of Homecoming Week. All of the Fall Sports Athletes are recognized at this assembly as well as the High School Band. We also enter a float in the Annual Homecoming Parade along with the Boys Varsity Club (otherwise known as U-Clan). This year we helped create the Wall of Achievement Float for Mr. Anthony and the members of the Prestigious Wall of Achievement. This was one of the ways the girls try to help the community. We also sponsor the annual Homecoming Semi-Formal for our High School students. In the winter we sponsor the Winter Sports King and Queen crowning.
