STEM

Our STEM program was established five years ago to expose young women in our district to careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Girls are selected to the program in ninth grade based on GPA, discipline record, and teacher recommendation. Each month the girls are taken on a field trip to a business, college/university, or museum to expose them to careers in this area. We are not currently funded by the school district but are required to write grants to support the young women on field trips. Mrs. Quickle and Mrs Mangol have volunteered their time for the past five years and hope to continue the promotion of positive choices for young women.
